Lip blushing is a semi-permanent cosmetic technique in which pigments are deposited into the lips using small needles. To get an equal tone, the pigments are applied in successive layers. The procedure enhances the appearance of the lips, creating the illusion of fullness and helping to rectify the appearance of asymmetry. Lip blushing focuses on modifying the colour and contour of the lips to make them appear younger. The procedure begins by numbing the lips so that you feel less pain and discomfort. Clients can select from a variety of colours, including nudes, pinks, and reds. Depending on the client’s preference, the process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Lip blushing produces semi-permanent results, which means you’ll need to repeat the process every few years to maintain your results. Frequent lip exfoliation, sun exposure, and smoking can all cause the pigment to fade quicker.

You can share any concerns you have during your consultation, and you will be given a sensitivity patch test to detect whether you are allergic to the pigment, which is quite rare.
24 hours following the sensitivity patch test and there is no reaction, contact the clinic to arrange your appointment and pay your £50 deposit. This is then applied to the cost of the treatment. The remaining sum is due upon completion of the treatment. You will need to return to the clinic six weeks after your Lips Enhancement for a top up, which is included in the initial cost.
Aftercare treatment following Semi-permanent enhancements
You will have some swelling and redness for the first 4 to 5 days; ice packs with covered fabric may be applied as needed to minimise swelling within the first 1-2 days. Flaking and minor itching are natural side effects of the healing process. Dry skin can last for up to 3 weeks.
Apply the healing ointment provided or vaseline with a cotton bud for the first 7 days after the lip blush. To avoid cross contamination, wash your hands before applying the product. Use moist cotton pads to clean the treated area on a daily basis. If the treated area becomes wet, gently pat it dry with a clean tissue or cotton pad.
Itching is possible; however, do not pick or rub your treated area as the colour may repair unevenly and you risk infection, which could lead to scarring. Allow the colour to flake out naturally. Do not undergo skincare or beauty treatments for 5 days post treatment. Makeup should be avoided near your enhancement for 7 days.
Avoid for 7 to 10 days – direct sunlight, tanning treatments, chlorine pools, saunas and excessive sweating from extensive gym/exercise workouts. Do not receive eyelash tinting, permanent curling or artificial eyelash application.
